Antonello Parisi, composer and pianist.
He has studied classical piano and composition with conductor Ottavio De Lillo, Gabriella Bassi, and Patrizia Garganese. Later on, he studied piano jazz and improvisation with Garry Dial at New York (whom he still studies with), Danilo Rea and Riccardo Fassi.
At Berklee School, Umbria Jazz Clinics in 1997 and in 2000 , he perfected his work with pianists Ray Santisi and Russ Hoffman, achieving the "Best Talents" recognition at Umbria Jazz "Berklee Clinics 2000 ". Moreover, he has attended a two- year high specialization course at the "Accademia Musicale Romana" ("Roman Music Academy") with Danilo Rea , Enzo Pietropaoli , Fabrizio Sferra and Maurizio Giammarco .
He has also attended several master classes held by Wynton Marsalis, Donald Harrison, Eric Reed, James Moody. Besides performing in a big number of jazz club and live locations with various formations, he has also performed in prestigious programmes among which: "Alfa Soul 2002 ", International Festival "Pulsano Jazz 2002 ", Trebius' Stars Jazz Winter 2002 , "Jazz Blues & Soul" Festival 2001 - 2002 - 2003 , Guitars International Festival Mottola 2002 - 2004 , "September Jazz" 2004 City of Taranto, International Festival "Sounds from Salento 2005-2006 "; exhibitions: Taranto Promenade 1997 (over thirty concerts), Summer in Taranto 2000 , Taranto and... 2001 , Castro summer 2001 , Porto Cesareo summer 2001 , Ceramics International Exhibition 2004 City of Grottaglie, Festival Internazionale "Sounds from Salento 2005 ", 62 and 63 nd Concerts' Season "Arcangelo Speranza 2006-2007 ", "Esplanade Du Lac 2006 " (Divonne Les Bains , France).
Inventor of the South Vertigo Band, prestigious formation in the fusion panorama, shared with Adriano Albarella guitar, Fabrizio Loconsole bass and Michele Sangiorgio drums, he frequently works with famous musicians such as Bob Franceschini , Javier Girotto, Tom Kirkpatrick, Jeremy Tordjman , Guillaume Perret, Patrick Fradet, Ginger Brew, Giampaolo Ascolese, Tino Tracanna, Fabrizio Bosso , Roberto Ottaviano, Gaetano Partipilo, Mario Rosini, Michele Carrabba, and many others.
Leader of a jazz trio in his name with Roberto Inciardi (bass) and Franco Guarnieri (drums), he is second lead of two important projects in saxophonist Antonio De Vito's name, and singer Stefania Carati's name.
He is founder and director of important didactic projects supported by Taranto Province "Art Music Project 2002 "and "Music & Work 2006 " and by the City of Taranto, among which "Music Profession 2004 ". At present, he teaches modern and piano jazz for E.N.D.A.S associated schools. In 2005 , he recorded the album entitled " Zero Center " with the New York saxophonist Bob Franceschini and the South Vertigo Band, distributed by Ricordi-Feltrinelli, for the VideoRadio (RAI symphony Orchestra label).
In 2006 he joined the prestigious compilation produced by Rai Trade-VideoRadio entitled " Fusion Jazz Rock & Groove " distributed by Self.
