Get Your Own! | View Slideshow Born in 1977, Jeremy Tordjman travelled through African lands since his childhood, passing from Morocco to Comoro Islands, immersing himself instinctively in the music and traditions of the people he was close to.He took an early hold of the instruments at his disposal in his family, and he was naturally attracted towards the guitar, later forsaking the bass guitar, his first instrument. After a few years of teaching himself and several experiments in Rock, Blues, Funk, he turns more and more towards Jazz and its derivatives, fusion, world, jazz-rock, free jazz,...He takes part in various training courses for guitar, in Cannes (Music Passion) or in Corsica (Patrimonio Festival), and he benefits from the advice of teachers such as Philippe Catherine, Robben Ford, Patrick Rondat, Sylvain Luc, Sylvestre Planchais, Jean-Marie Ecay, etc.As he felt the need of an official teaching, he studies under the authority of Gilles Renne in the CIM, the most reputed Jazz school in Paris, where he also lives and plays. There he has various encounters and Jazz experiments, especially in the club "Le Baiser Sal", where he is noticed by well-known musicians in France such as Benjamin Hnocq, Paco Sery, Linley Marthe, Herve Krief,...At the same time, his qualities as an eclectic musician are requested for arrangements, radio jingles, and various compositions. He arranges and records the two albums of the Senegalese singer Kara (Sante Yallah - Ndiyam), some pieces for the Senegalese singer Woz Kaly or Choubene Brothers Ra Band.If he still composes musical songs, in a Pop, Soul or Hip Hop R'n'B style, his meetings with African musicians and his participation in Senegalese or Guinean bands, Missal, Kara, Macir Sylla, Woz Kaly, bring him back to the rhythms he's so fond of.In that way, his band JEREMY TORDJMAN PROJECT was formed, which mixes effectively Jazz-Fusion and World Music on his own compositions, this group being the digest of his musical influences and experiments.Some talented musicians appear in his band, the saxophonists Stefano Saccon, Guillaume Perret, Ernie Odoom, who are famous in Switzerland, or Emile Parisien, who plays with Paco Sery, Remi Vignolo, Wynton Marsalis,...He also invite from italia the greatest pianist Antonello Parisi. it was really great to have this pianist, because he's so talented !Noticed by clubs and festival directors, he ensured the first part of Marcus Miller and Youssou N'Dour band concerts.His first album "Sambuka", was released in Summer 2005.BIOGRAPHIE EN FRANCAIS ************************************************************ *** Né en 1977, Jérémy Tordjman a parcouru dès lenfance les contrées africaines, passant du Maroc aux Comores, simprégnant instinctivement des musiques et des traditions des peuples quil côtoyait. Semparant très tôt des instruments à sa disposition dans le milieu familial, cest vers la guitare quil fut attiré naturellement, délaissant plus tard la basse, son premier instrument.Après quelques années dinitiation en autodidacte et plusieurs expériences dans le Rock, le Blues, le Funk, il soriente de plus en plus vers le Jazz et ses dérivés, fusion, world, jazz-rock, free-jazz, Il participe à divers stages de guitare, à Cannes (Musique Passion) ou en Corse (Festival de Patrimonio), et profite des conseils avisés de professeurs comme Philippe Catherine, Robben Ford, Patrick Rondat, Sylvain Luc, Sylvestre Planchais, Jean-Marie Ecay, etc.Avec le souci dune formation officielle, il étudie sous lautorité de Gilles Renne au CIM de Paris où il séjourne. Il multiplie alors les rencontres et les expériences tournées vers le Jazz, en particulier au club du Baiser Salé, où il sera remarqué par des musiciens reconnus en France tels que Benjamin Hénocq, Paco Sery, Linley Marthe, Hervé Krief,Parallèlement ses qualités de musicien éclectique sont sollicitées pour des arrangements, des génériques de radio et diverses compositions puisquil réalise les deux albums du chanteur sénégalais Kara (Sante Yallah Ndiyam), certains morceaux pour le chanteur Woz Kaly ou le groupe de Raï Choubène.Sil ne délaisse pas la composition duvres musicales chantées tendance Pop, Soul ou Hip Hop RnB, ses rencontres avec des musiciens africains et sa participation à des groupes sénégalais ou guinéens, Missal, Kara, Maciré Sylla, Woz Kaly, le ramènent à des rythmes quil affectionne.Ainsi naquit son groupe « JEREMY TORDJMAN PROJECT » qui mêle avec bonheur Jazz-Fusion et World Music sur des compositions originales, cette formation étant le condensé de ses influences et expériences musicales.Participent à son groupe des musiciens talentueux comme les saxophonistes Stefano Saccon, Guillaume Perret, Ernie Odoom, musiciens réputés en Suisse, ou Émile Parisien, saxophoniste de Paco Sery, Remi Vignolo, Wynton Marsalis. Il a aussi eu l'occasion lors d'un concert à Divonnes-les-bains de faire venir d'italy un fantastique musicien : le pianiste Antonello Parisi de Taranto. Cette collaboration fut un grand moment de musique et d'amitié. Il y a d'ailleurs d'autres projets en cours avec ce musicien.
