I grow up in Dakar, Senegal. Was keen on sport (athletism and football) till I was teenager. Then I start to be interrested in music thanks to one of my best friend living in the same neigbourhood, Illon BA (Baba Maal's guitarist). I discovered first guitar and bass with him. I found in it a refuge and over all a means of expressing myself. Quickly facinated and bewitched by the musical universe, playing music has become for me as essential as the air which one breathes in spite of my mum's reprimands. She planed for me long studies and broke my first guitar to discourage me !!! Then I continued to play secretly with my friends !During this 15 years, source of many meetings and discover, let's say the bands and artists who marked me the most are CEDDO (SENEGAL, Afro-mbalax) my first group, KINE LAM (SENEGAL, a diva of traditionnal), TIKEN JAH FAKOLY when I arrived in France (IVORY COAST, Reggae), MACIRE SYLLA (GUINEE, World-mandingue, "Best Guinean Voice 98")... I also experienced Rap with DISIZ LA PESTE and continue to work with several african artists (DJEOUR CISSOKHO, TOURE KUNDA...) meanwhile I have my own band , COULEUR KAFE, created with one of my best friends Mickael BOUGON in 2000. First album of our group "PAS A PAS" has been done in 2004 (Kawa Production, Indpt Label). www.couleurkafe.comI'm hardly working on y first solo album.....
