Some of Grade A's work........ whoisthis !
When I first got into the game in 2003...I had just finished Pro Tools school around July 03.....I had gotten Dirty's ...once...manager...Mike Jackson's number from my cousin K.I.L.A. Country...who now raps with the R$R ....My cousin had his number from recording with M.J. at Nfinity Studio's over there round Lagoon Park...anyway I called M.J. up and told him that I just got out of school and stuff and asked if they needed anyone to help with recording and stuff..they thought I was with the police cause they had just order a ProTools HD system but didn't have anyone to work it...and here I come all white and shit like....I just got certified for that ish....I can work it.....so...they gave me a shot and whadda u kno.....it worked....I had fun working on the Love Us or Hate Us album....the hook on Keep My Name Out Your Mouth was a good collaboration with the skills that I had with the ProTools....and Big Pimp's creative mind....I think Pimp was probably suggesting that he wanted something alil different on tha hook...that's when I chopped it up....oh oh weak ....yeah that was I...listen to it you'll hear what I'm talking bout....I had fucked with that technique before but not like that...shit was fun tho....MaxaMillion was fun to work with...extremely talent musician........Max had some tight tracks and could sing a harmonize really well ....some tracks had up to 100 individual tracks in it if not more...chorus's sometimes 40-50 tracks deep...for all you wanna be engineers....right out tha gate....I liked Big Pimp's work ethic in the studio ...he would always be right there...helping to track out or add to a beat...not to say that he didn't make any..he did it all except record and mix..but he was right there during the process..he was really the first person that I had seen up to that point work like that..it was serious....
thru fucking with M.J. ...one of his cohorts of sorts..Brian Miller....manager of B.A.M.A......got in touch with me...I knew B. Mil....he would always come thru the studio and bullshit with Mike and K.D....K.D. was M.J. assistant....they would play cards and watch dvd's and tell jokes and shit.......anyway he was fucking with Taurus Caine and Rain...B.A.M.A...I had my own lil studio out in Paddock Club Apt....out down Vaughn Road...when the Dirty project was finished....I recorded and helped make tracks for there album SouthernEvolution.....one in particuliar is called Heavy.....Southern Maestro...actually made the beat but I was there every step of the way engineering it.....then B.A.M.A. came thru and recorded on it... they did some recording and got the album mixed up in Birmingham as well...with James Bevelle at AudioState 55...I got to meet him and he was really nice...he gave me a few ideas.....check the credits...late 03
during that time I also recorded and did tracks and mixed for Chedderation...DAT PRODUCT....----RawDeal, Lil Fatt....recorded it out of the closet...had acoustic treatment on the walls....at the Paddock Club Apt........
I moved from the Paddock Club Apt...and stayed with close relatives in Birmingham for about a month or so...early spring 04....During that time I was going back and forth from Montgomery to B-Ham...I worked with the Legendary Dr.Fangaz...he had a small studio in one of his spare bedrooms.....over in the back of SouthLawn...the Southwest side of Montgomery....Mike C lived there at the same time...I ended up just crashin at Fangaz's house for about a month or so...til I got back on my feet and could afford my own spot... ...thank you Fangaz..!!.....At that time two talented young men (SouthernPlayaz)came thru and got Fangaz to do a track ...I engineered it on ProTools while Fangaz played and came up with ideas.....they laid the vocals down first and we ended up makin a beat to there idea...the song was Who U Ridin Wit...M.Long from 105.7 heard it on HomeGrown coming back from ATL...and liked it so much that he put it into strong rotation......shit was magical..from the start....after that we finished the rest of their album...I did a couple tracks on there as well....lot of mixing and recording credits......
early summer 04....when I got back on my feet I got me a place over in the Monticello Apt. .... I met ElDorado Red thru Dr. Fangaz......we started working and instantly.....I could tell that Red was a strong worker...and he wouldn't let me slip in the studio ...he always stayed on me ..or at least it felt that way....we would record mix cd type stuff but he would have me mix that shit right there.....on the spot because he would have me mp3 email it out to bout 3 or 4 different people in Cali and NY...so I had to step my game up and deliver with out hesitation...made me better...I think he got a deal off of all that work....him and Fangaz brought Rick Rock thru the spot too.......fall 2004 late...
from Monticello I moved into my parents old house ...they rented it out cause they moved around frequently....the people that rented it moved out....and my folks were about to move back to Montgomery and live in it....but in the mean time they had no one to stay in it till they got back......except me.....I used the living room as the main control room and the Master bedroom closet as the vocal booth...it was nice....met up with Lil Chappy ...been a fan since the beginning .......that Lionel Richie...sample song....Life aint easy....and that song with Jungle Baby...that is still to this day some of my favorite joints....working with Chappy was like a dream come tru.......recorded and mixed alot of songs from his King of Alabama Mix CD.....
I met L-GIN thru Dr. Fangaz....LGIN has gat a nice style and flo....I enjoyed working with him.....I messed with him since Monticello.....even before that....mixing and recording credits...04-05
Got up with Duece Komrades and mixed a song or two for them as well I don't think they put it out yet.....I started fucking with Small Tyme Ballaz really hard round this time late 05 round Christmas...we were recording ...allday eer day....nothing........shit went sour....for a minute and we moved out of the first Long Money Studio over there behind Country's BarB'Q on Zelda Rd....back over der....while we were waiting for the new Long Money Studio to be built on WaresFerry Rd....I started back working with Big Pimp...from Dirty...we worked on tha "Da Art of Storytelling" & "Tha First Supper" album....I would go to his Apt...and record..then take the songs back to my crib and mix them and program the beats on some of the songs...structured..moving... produced the Whoop'em track.....recording and mixing credits.....Pimp was a work force in the studio....1 man band...did some skit's and shit on there as well...uh, yes this is TD Marshall...........
the same album just Rap-A-Lots graphix........more work on....
....Around the same time ....thru a good friend of mine A.D.G...got to work on the Suth-N-Bred...CD....thank you A.D.G.!!!! thank you SUTH-N-BRED!!!Country Life 365.....
...I knew Lil Broke from Hard of da South ...for awhile thru Dr.Fangaz.....of course....did this album here and there they would record a few songs over at Fangaz spot then get up we me to mix it .........Good Lookin out...REAL people....got love for the Northside....

if I didn't mention someone or a group that I have worked with...i put this together with the graphics I could find...real quick....no diss...got love......it's almost 08....still doin it ....its 07 and I'm in Atlanta I guess it suppose to be a step up...but nothing will ever compare to all the talented industry people, promoters, managers....most importantly the musicians and artist that i've been fortunate enough to work with thru out the years in Montgomery , Alabama.........I look forward to making more music in the future.... right now my journey has led me to Atlanta...where it will take me is anyone's guess...but I do know that what I've learned thru out the years working with everyone is to......have a good work ethic......never give up..or quit on your dreams.....follow your heart.....and stay tru to who you really are and everything will work out......no matter how long it takes.....everything happens for a reason....and God has a plan for everyone......treat people how you want to be treated.....we not me......every chance I get I will shine the attention on Montgomery and all the talented artist and musicians in it.....because it made me what I am today....I think it's just beginning........thanks for the memories ....here's to many more.....: ) ....... .......Support the Muzik......click on pic to purchase.......
