Born of the bands love for Metal, Hardcore and Punk, LA developed their origional style and released their classic demo "FTCOTFW" to rave reviews and the delight of the underground tape trading scene.Within no time at all LA was opening up on bills with Exodus, Nuclear Assault, Anthrax, Carnivore, Testament as well as Hardcore acts like Agnostic Front, COC, DRI, AOD, GBH, & the Accused as well as a co-headlining tour of Europe with Youth of Today in the winter of 89'. The bands music and lifestyle was fast and furious and before their hibernation in 1991 they left behind a legendary demo in "FTCOTFW", one full length LP "Life Is Hard...", and 2- 7"EP's. Lethal was constantly recording and playing live shows though many things were never released and what was released was always hard to find. One of the purest examples of Thrashcore LA mixes the elements of what would become known as Crossover without ever becoming predictable and boring. The bands fit the label Drugcore that the band bestowed upon themselves andby 1991 the band took a much needed break to deal with some consequences this lifestyle had placed in their lives but returned reborn more pissed and angrier then ever before in 2001.LETHAL AGGRESSION speaks their minds and does it with a ferocious energy that should keep everyone on there toes. With topics socially relevant as well as morally decadent Lethal keeps music fresh and fun while staying intelligent. Attacking those that would hold mankind down with viscious contempt Lethal is a voice ready to kill while screwing your sister in the shed outside! Currently they are trying to gain an all new fanbase with the younger generation while retaining their core fans..they are working on new material in the hopes of generating some label interest..watch out for shows this summer.. for more info email the band at [email protected] or [email protected]
BIO UPDATE 03/27/06
Alright now here it is I finally got off my ass to write something about the band I have called home since 1984. Lethal Aggression was started in Brick New Jersey sometime around summer/fall of '84. The origional line up was John Saltz-voice, Rob D-guitar, Spencer-bass, and Filthy Phill G (R.I.P. my brother)-drums. This is the line-up that played the first show and wrote the first few songs. Not long after the first show Spence and Phil were replaced by George Yeck(R.I.P. my brother) on bass, and Kenny Lund(alias K-Chez) on drums. This is the line-up that recorded our legendary demo (yes we are a band who's claim to fame is a demo, but remember it is a LEGENDARY demo! ha ha.) titled " From The Cunt of The Fuckin' Whore(re-issued by Relapse records in '01 with the unreleased album "Godservation from 1990) This is the lethal that did a mini-tour with DRI in 86 and played with Anthrax, Agnostic Front, Crumbsuckers, Carnivore, Exodus,Mental Abuse,Krack on the Cob,Testament,Nuclear Assault, Psycho Sin, A.O.D., G.B.H., The Accused as well as dozens of other amazing underground bands. Eventually Rob D. was feeling something different and went on to join the legendary NYC Hardcore band Breakdown around 1988 right after Lethal recorded the "Life is Hard..."lp our only " official" full-lenghth release (Re-issued in '06 along with ep's from 88 and 89 and our newest demo from '06). After Rob came Dave Guitterez formally of the local hardcore bands Social Decay and T.F.N. . Dave fit the mindset of the rest of us at the time, which was basically to play as fast as humanly possible while still maintaining some melody and hooks, and just plain old simply getting tore the fuck up aand blowing our minds chemically for as long as we could. As you could imagine that eventually had some undesired results. In 1991 after a highly succesful tour of Europe with Youth of Today, Lethal Aggression went into hibernation (or basically dealt with some consequences) for the next 10 years. During this time the band was completly inactive until Relapse records did the re-issue in '01. A close friend of the band Todd O'Robbins took over bass duties from 01-02 then Rob H from the stoner band Solace from 02-04. The current myspace lineup has been the lineup since summer 04. This line-up has been the most dedicated to the music line-up since the FTCOTFW days. The only motive is to make some energetic, aggressive, pissed off music that is not only angry and pissed but fun as well. Make no mistake we are back to kick ass with new material and generate a whole new era for Lethal Aggression!
