Dream 7 Theatre Productions is a Nashville-based, African American theatre company, founded by poet/playwright Michael L. Walker. Since its inception in 2002, Dream 7 has performed numerous plays at Nashville's Darkhorse Theater (among other places)including "Cultural Millennium," "Advising Uncles," "Gospel," "Pulpits," and "Glimpses of Choice." Dream 7 participated in the inaugural Shades of Black Theatre Showcase at the Darkhorse Theater in August 2006, where it presented the debut of "Pulpits." The year is 1965 and life at Anna’s Place, a boarding house owned by married couple Anna and Roy, is pretty ordinary until Anna’s father, Baltimore Cotton, moves in and shakes things up. Baltimore is an old wise man, who has an uncanny knack for predicting future events and helping people find the answers to the questions in their lives. In the boarding house, Baltimore shares his wisdom with boarders from all walks of life. However, he has the biggest influence on his impressionable and naïve granddaughter, LuLu. Baltimore gives LuLu a gift that will forever change her life.“Soothsayer†is directed by Walker and features performances by Rodrikus Springfield as Baltimore Cotton, Alicia Ridley as Anna, Shawn Whitsell as Roy and 92Q’s Fiona as LuLu.. Rounding out the cast is Kamal Bolden, Darius Willis, Yolonda McClain, Jimmie Hill, Elan Crawford and Candy Robins.The Darkhorse Theater is located at 4610 Charlotte Ave., Nashville, TN.
