About Me

Robert Hall, born January 20th of 1982, has created vibrations on the underground spoken word scene for the last 4 years in Nashville, TN. By some, he has been dubbed as the Nashville Love Poet. His words, both vivid and weighted with passion, focus on the dynamics of love that are often looked over by writers of similar themes. This Nashville native has had the opportunity to absorb many facets of the arts such as modeling, theater, painting, music, spoken word, etc. He is 1/2 of the newly formed spoken word ensemble known as ACOUSTIC WORD with Southern Entertainment Award of Spoken Word Nominee, Church da Poet. He has had the priviledge to share the stage with local artists like TIA, Dante, Simply Sil, Stephanie Pruitt, South Africa's Ziyon, D Revolution, Robin, ATL's Marc Marcel, ATL's Gyspie O, Descendants of Reality, the R&B Duo 81, the multi-talented Jeff Obafemi Carr, and many more. Hall is not only known for his poetry, but also as a guitarist behind various poets and singers. He is a songwriter who has written for local gospel and R&B artists. Robert has sung background for various local artists to name a few: Lajuan Diggs (gospel rapper), Danielle Brown (gospel/jazz singer), and Aphropik (hip-hop artist and MC). Hall has worked on 2 documentaries by Film Clash Productions: "The Journey" (a pictorial account of African American youth training to be scuba drivers who were given an opportunity to dive the Henrietta Marie, a sunken slave ship off the shores of Key West, Florida) and "Poetry In Motion" (a motion picture showcasing local Nashville poets while giving the audience a visual of the artist’s words). He is a member of Dream 7 Poetic Theater Company with Michael L. Walker as the founder and artistic director and Grammy Award Winner and Songwriter/Music Director for India.Arie, Shannon Sanders as the Music Director. Hall received is education in his Nashville, TN, also. For 2 years, he studied Psychology and Theater at Tennessee State University. Then, after a serious car accident in January 2002, he migrated into the area of Massage Therapy. He received his training at Southeastern Career College and is certified by the State of Tennessee Board of Massage and Bodyworks.
