demetrio giannice (a.k.a. minimalcryp, minimal /live, the cryp, doubletrouble/ dj duo with r.r.d.a., NEW: the wild cowboys/ dj duo with laso andres) grew up with the music of a "vinyl nerd", his dad. with artist such as : deep purple, jimi hendrix, pink floyd, bob marley etc. he had a classical education in classic guitar for two yeras, started in a rock group with 13 as a guitarplayer and with 16/17 in a jazzrockblues combo as lead guitarist. in 1987 he got his first record from a friend : "sabrina : boys", and one year later he started to buy records by himself, stuff like : *royal house", "masrhall jefferson", "mr fingers" etc. in 1993 he visited with friends for the first time a party in zurich and was deeply impressed by a real underground house party and the legendary "flamingo club" where he had his first contact with chicago house & black detroit techno. in this time he stoped to play guitar and he started to use some tb303, tr707, tr909 etc. to do his own music, without others .... groups, combos & bands. in 1994 he started to djing himself, first at home and then in small venues and more organised by friends. in 1999/2000 he had his first experiences as a "live - act". at aera (zurich) in the begining togheter with a friend, alex brand who he found the label "minimalanal rec."at this time, and later then by himself. 2001 he released his first track, h.... (onesided), as a test press of 100 copies for "minimalanal rec.", but only as promo he did in..t sell it . in 2002 he organised his first party "vibrator 02" at the streetparade week-end with an afterhour where artist..s played such as : pascal f.e.o.s., dixon. bang goes, peak nick & ilo (beataction : on four turntables & two mixers) togheter with; minimal / live & brand / live a.o. at this time he start to play from time to time at the legendary "spidergalaxy" in zurich. in 2003 he had there an amazing "fourteenhoures ping-pong set" with roby icks a.k.a. r.r.d.a. as "doubletrouble" 2005 he started his monthly nine houres net radio show"minimalanal rec." on audioasyl.net, every first monday of the month from 2100 - 0600, with guests, and sometimes alone nine houres set..s. in 2006 he worked as "booking & event manager for some venues in zurich. at the same time he found the incredible "vollscharf - wollscharf" illegal afterhoures at the legendary kibag at the wonderfull lake of zurich. for 2007 he finished his "talk ep" for third ear (release 2009) and he still works on new tracks for his new label enterbt rec. (soon), and remixes for third ear and friends ...... he still works on new projects, more soon .... .. .. .
