The swift rise of Swiss Slutfunk Records all began in 2007 on the island of Ibiza at the world’s largest club, Privilege. Kate, who runs the Ibiza label, has arranged a number of popular events with DJs such as Villalobos and Luciano.
On 12th May 2008, Slutfunk Records celebrated its first release with music from young Zurich artist Andri.
Andri clearly has talent, and he has already proved this with Playstation, Reason and Ableton Live. With Marky he also formed the acclaimed Duo Knallkids.
He has already gained an excellent reputation by playing successful solo gigs in Zurich. He is also revered by producers such as Bang Goes, Wandler, Kalbrese and San Marco.
Disco Dave, the founder and head of Slutfunk Records, has worked in the music business since 1995 and is well established in the Swiss Techno and House scene. Primarily he is co-owner of "Jackpoint", a well-known store in Zurich for DJ equipment and music solutions.
Disco Dave remains rooted to the underground-scene, although he maintains good connections with the major clubs. Their A&R is supported by Daphné.
Musik ohne Kompromisse; Musik ohne Chi chi. Jedoch Musik mit viel Sexyness und Verve. Was 2007 mit einer äusserst populären Sonntagsveranstaltungsreihe auf Ibiza im grössten Klub der Welt, dem Privilege, mit Luciano, Villalobos und Konsorten angefangen hat, manifestiert sich 2008 als Slutfunk Records in der Schweiz. Die Jetset-DJane Daphné (USA) und der House-Grandseigneur Disco Dave aus Zürich wollten einen Kontrapunkt zu hiesigen Arrivierten-Labels anlegen und setzen auf schonungslos unerbittlichen Hüftschwung auf dem Tanzparkett. Statt feinziselliert umnachtete Techno/Soul-Chimären zeigt Slutfunk Records umprätenziösen House und Techno mit viel Sex. Stil und Verdorbenheit; Weirdness und 1989er Balsamico. Das geniale Team Disco Dave und Daphné hat sich im Mai 2009 zur Ruhe gesetzt und hat das Wohl des Labels nun in die Hände des jungen, vielversprechenden Produzenten Andri gelegt.
