Hey!!! I'm Dj Dayzee 29 yr old female DJ, Got a great passion for house music. I like it Deep ,Soulful, and tribally. It all started at the age of 14 when I first heard Kerri Chandler's -(Grampa) She's Crazy in 1993. Thats when I fell in love with house music, right then I knew I had to be a part of that sound. Kerri Chandler has been a great influence in my life because it was his sound and style that drew me to the house scene, and I stayed with it ever since. Mr. Jovonn Armstrong has also been a great influence to me, because he and Kerri's sound are very similar to me and I love that they keep it real and stay true to the underground sound. You will always hear one of these guy's tracks lingering in my sets. Jovonn is a true inspiration to me as well. My older brother was a DJ back in 93. He played House then Techno House then back to house and thats what I learned off of so I taught myself how to mix behind his back on his set up everyday after school I would come home and try to mix. Years gone by and I've grown up got married and had children. Two boys they are 7 and 5 years old. They are my heart and soul just like the music. I managed to keep on djing over the years locally off and on but I am now more focused on it since my kids are a bit grown and its hard being a working mom, wife , and DJ. Plus my husband is a DJ also TommyToonz so yes we have a fun filled DJ marriage..LOL We met through the music as well and believe me when I say its not all sugar coated because we share the same interests.. Oh my god!! We fight over music all the time. Who's gonna play first on our shows, where's the records I left here?!! Keep your dam cds labeled!! It just goes on and on Its madness I tell you not all fun and games..LOL The community I live in has not enough appreciation for this beautiful music so I try my best to keep this thing alive and going. My goal is to start production so I'm trying to focus on that now. I have 2 internet radio shows, one on www.jerseydjs.com every Friday 10pm-2am EST/ 7pm-11pm PST and the other on www.cyberjamz.com Sundays 12am-3am EST/ 9pm-12am PST Feel free to check my sound out anytime and let me know what ya think.
