Johnnie Cook III and Young Boogie aka James Smith Jr. Both born and raised in the Ypsilanti Michigan area. Growing up in the Ypsilanti , Michigan area was not easy for the two of us starving artist who started rapping Back in 1997 , during their down time when they were not wrapped in with the day to day hustle but their day to day hustle became a huge revolving door . With run ins with the law and the need for more and more funds , the two needed to develop a plan on keeping them out of jail and on a even more serious tip out of a casket!!! So the two put their heads together an came up with the simple facts 1 they were both tired of going in and out of jail 2 taking the risks with the day to day hustles and 3 not having enough money…After getting the facts out of the way they looked at it as there is only one way to get the money they needed , and that was through music’ being at the time they both had skills with rhyming…from that point on it was set “ they were going to rap to obtain the cash they needed but what to call their self’s ??? being that we are set to win and we can go to battle with or without the tools we need damn that’s what the Military teaches… That’s it I got it Military Minds we are Military Minded that’s it!!!†Says Young Boogie.
