Sevens Project is an ongoing collaborative audio-visual project curated by Moondata Records, based on improvised sketches and expanded into experimental & contemporary song forms. Incorporating electronic manipulation, each performance is enhanced by a visual projections. Each of the contributing members/writers of the project is involved on numerous levels in the Montreal music community. They all have experience in composing and performing for film, dance, theatre, electronica, sound design and experimental music. This group has collaborated periodically for the past couple of years, approaching each performance as a work in progress. This past year the ensemble began work on a recording of composed material. The forthcoming album will be a mixture of studio improvisation, sound design and editing, electronic manipulations and modern composition.
