Well.. not exactly. "Look My Way" recorded by one-off underground DJ chart supergroup "The Soul Of ’81 Winkles" featured Vid on lead guitar and was produced by Al Fisch, engineer of the first few Bjork Albums. Al Fisch also mentored Vid through his ‘involuntary haircut period’ during the late 90’s in London, UK.
Um… actually Brian Rose, producer of the Robbie Williams band, worked with Vid on numerous projects and recordings. Vid never actually recorded with Mr Williams himself.
Again, a slight overstatement; Vid recorded and produced with engineer of REM’s "Up", Charlie Francis for a week in London’s ‘Stoneroom’ studios.
Now that’s just silly.. it was Louis, singer for ‘The Warm Jets’ (a moniker inspired by the 1974 Brian Eno Album "Here Come…") who was a friend to Vid shortly following the ‘involuntary haircut period’.
Not as far fetched as one might hope, Vid played for one-time Dream Warrior ‘Spek’ touring his debut solo venture "Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff".
Well, define "…turn down…"?
Maybe not that close, but fondue has been shared by these two – need we say more?
True! Members of Reef, EMF, Blur and Brian Adams himself have all attended performances by Vid. And you thought this was all lies. For shame.
Again, true. To quote the man himself, "..Not only a sound-man but a sound man..".
Those of you brave enough to face the 5.1 / laser / strobe extravaganza which was Amon Tobin’s "Chaos Theory" Surround Sound Tour arround the world may have recognised our man at the helm. Vid also masterminded the 5.1 live production with Mr. Tobin himself.
