Bio: Name: Jeremy De Leon, Artist name. J-Deezy Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala. His grandpa was born in Honduras, that makes J. De Leon a.k.a. J-Deezy Guatemalan Honduran. J. De Leon grew up attending Christian Schools and was raise in a Christian family. At the age of 8 J. De Leon's father move to Los Angeles California hoping for a better life in America to provide for his family in Guatemala. A year later J. De Leon and family moved to Brooklyn New York hoping for a better life in America. A year later his Father joined the rest of the family in New York trying to work things out with his Mother, but the relationship didn't work out so his Father move back to Los Angeles California. J. De Leon’s Mother was trying to work it out with his father so she move to Los Angeles California along with her sons but his parents had there differences and they couldn’t work it out. His Mother was a music teacher in Guatemala, she was always trying to influence J. De Leon to pursue music. J. De Leon eventually listen to his mother and took a music class (flute class), little by little he became interested in music but family restricted him of listen to music of the so called world (not Gospel). He was always thinking how would it feel to be an artist, not even knowing he had music in him. J. De Leon was 11 years old when he decided to play drums at his church, this made music more interesting to him. He now felt the passion and the need for music even though he couldn't understand English he began listening to Hip Hop/Rap/R&B. He also fell in love with Merengue, Salsa and Reggea, his mother didn't like those types of music because she only believe in Gospel music. J. De Leon ignore music for a while just to make his mother happy and started playing soccer instead. J. De Leon had a difficult child hood growing up with out a Father by his side. J. De Leon’s family struggle to pay rent and bills from time to time. At the age of 13 his family move to Los Angeles California, and J. De Leon move with his father in Anaheim, California and attendate Sycamore Jr. High School that’s when girls inspired J. De Leon to start writing poetry even through out high school. Playing sports and listening to music became a big part of his life still not fully understanding English never thinking music was going to be his calling. He played Varsity Soccer for 4 years in Anaheim High School, and right after high school he had a chance to be in the Guatemalan National Team but his Father did not want an unsecured type of career for his son being that J. De Leon was the oldest, he need it to set a example for his 2 younger brothers. J. De Leon was being pressured to joined the U.S. Navy, that’s when the drastic change happen. He met different types of people from all parts of the world, he Started listening to music more, he began to party, and enjoyed not being controlled by his parents. As an Electricians mate in the Navy on board the Uss Constellation and The Uss Belleau Wood he met all types of people from all over the world. Some were so passionate about Hip Hop that they would freestyle them self’s any chance they had, and there were always battle ling others, as well as writing songs. J. De Leon notice different styles from different parts of the U.S. He desire the need of being a Hip Hop/Reggeaton Artist but doubting him self. He knew how to write but that wasn’t the question, the question was, was J. De Leon going to be dedicated on pursuing a career as a Hip Hop/Reggeaton Artist?. As soon as he got out of the military in 2002 he started to work as an electrician, and went to college for an Electrical Engineer Degree, he also took some music classes, acting classes and directing classes. 2 years later he realize his calling for music. He was influenced by friends and family especially cousin Mikel De Leon (De Leon) to pursue a career as a Hip Hop/Reggeaton Artist, J. De Leon stayed hungry and was a fast learner. J-Deezy along side Ryan McKinney (Young Slim) and Mike Macia (Wyzeguy) help J. De Leon Developed as an Hip Hop/Reggeaton Artist. J-Deezy worked on 2 compilation albums along side Young Slim in 2005 and along side Wyzeguy, Young Slim, I’ll Al, 2006. J-Deezy’s high energy performances and style has been compare to Pit bull, and Daddy Yankee. In 2007 J-Deezy started to work on his Demo/Album, J-Deezy has recently network with a couple of radio stations and was able to get radio play in San Francisco, San Bernardino, Washington, and New York. Soon to release his debut album Title J. De Leon, with hits like Happy Anniversary, Listen Baby, Ricashay, Quake, and Fuego, J-Deezy is guaranteed to make noise in the streets and in the industry.
