Mr. Jason Jackson has most recently become a member of the Dizzy Gillespie All Star Jazz Orchestra. Prior to joining this prestrigious group, he has been a member of the Village Vanguard Jazz orchestra, and the Ray Charles Orchestra. Jason has performed with Lenny Kravits, James Brown, the Illinois Jacquet Big Band, Slide Hampton's Jazz Masters, the Dave Holland Big Band, McCoy Tyner Big Band, Charles Mingus Big Band , and Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra under the direction of by Wynton Marsalis.
Mr. Jackson completed his Masters Degree in Jazz and Commercial Music at the Manhattan School of Music in 1995, wher he studied with Steve Turre. In 1993, he received his Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin Conservatory of Music where he studied with J.J. Johnson, Pat Hollaran, and Raymond Premru.
Jason's debut recording contains his original compositions entitled GOING HOME was recently released by Jacemus Records.
