I'm a professional trombone/ukulele player in NYC. (There's a joke in there somewhere...) Sometimes I sing, too. I play a lot in the NYC area. If you wanna see me play some time, I have my full schedule posted at blatomaster.com . I also have a mailing list.
As far as those sound clips are concerned, the new one is an extended arrangement of the wacky Commodore 64 music I composed for an episode of Oogloo And Anju. O & A is a series of five cartoon shorts that aired on Cartoon Network in late 2005. More info on that is below. "Hello Young Lovers" is a great old chestnut that I play and sing for you on my trusty ukulele. I also put a couple tunes on here with me trombone on them from CDs that are now available. "Two Tone Rocka" is a track with lots of trombone from retro-futuristic beatmaster Ursula 1000. It's off his latest CD called "Here Comes Tomorrow" and you can get it here. "Plazos Traicioneros is from the lastest CD from drummer/vocalist/composer extrodinaire Willie Martinez (that you can get here. ) (Yeah, that's Willie singing on that track! Woo Hoo!) You can also check out "I've Got My Finger On A Star" and "Show Biz'ness" on JC Hopkins' MySpace Profile for some more of my tromboning...
I also write music for film, and write music for some cartoons on tv. I compose for Nick Jr.'s hit series, The Wonder Pets and I used to be a composer for Blue's Clues. Never heard of those shows? Ask your nearest 4 year old. They probably have.
There are some cool cartoon shorts I did the music for that were broadcast on the Cartoon Network that you can see online now. It's very cool 30's style black and white animation by my extremely talented sister in-law Ariel Martian. I did the music using Commodore 64 hardware. You can see it at http://www.amartian.com/amartian_pages/OOA.html
Also, make sure you check out my videos page... I got a bunch and I'm always trying to make more...
