Flora Bujdoso (known as Bouydy) was born to a Hungarian-Transylvanian
mother and an Austrian-Hungarian father in Budapest, Hungary in 1991 on
that day like John Coltrane, Bruce Springsteen, Ray Charles, Julio Iglesias,
Kublai Khan.
As a nationality mix-girl with her German, Celtic and Asian forebears, she
speaks 4 languages (Hungarian, English, Spanish, German) and she is
still learning more (French, Italian, Latin).
She started her music learning on keyboard in 1995 and on flute in 1998. But after her radio and Bon Jovi listened kindergarten and early primary school years, she fell in love with the flamenco music. She asked for a classical guitar, then received it as a Christmas present in 2002. However in 2003 she changed sides when she get acquainted with her parents old CD collections which consisted of everything from heavy metal to pop music, and when she met some elder guys who introduced more light music to her. She was impressed by great solos, so the same year she bought a Les Paul and started to teach herself to play on it.
Later (2005) she was influenced by a lot of drummers' plays, specially Stewart Copeland (The Police), Alex González (Maná) and studio drummer Brendan Buckley (Shakira, Fulano de Tal).
She would like to attend the University of Miami's School of Music (studio and jazz guitar or/and drums program). She wanna become a great guitar player, drummer, songwriter and music producer when she grow up.
These days she is recording in the studio of keyboardist mKowax; writing songs at home and her school's studio; co-writing with some older musicians everywhere; and practicing in a small basement by herself or gigging with an acoustic guitar at some Caffé Houses in Budapest and all around that region. But you can catch her rockin' with Szilárd Burján on the European Promotional Tour of her new studio album this Summer, then living in Miami from this Fall. For more information: www.florabujdoso.fw.hu
