The greatest thing in the world is not so much where we are, but in what direction we are moving...

About Me

I've lived in Lacey Township for about twenty five years. It's not where I would like to be when I'm all grown up, but it will do for now! I TRY to live each day to the fullest knowing that tomorrow may never come. I don't take life too seriously and I've learned how to laugh again. I hope to drive cross country someday for the sole purpose of checking out a desert sky at night. I'm also working on being a better example to my children today so they don't have to make the same mistakes I have.

My Interests

I love taking long walks, preferably by the beach, but any location will do. Also, there's the dog and three cats that my kids and I adopted from the shelter, we just love having them in our lives. I'm basically interested in everything!! and I'm always open to trying anything new.

I'd like to meet:

Kind Souls.........

Music:

My musical taste is quite varied, although I do prefer songs with a passion, some kind of meaning behind them. Songs that have a story to tell, since generally, whatever I'm listening to, is reflecting how I'm feeling at that moment in time.

Movies:

My favorite movie was Thelma and Louise because of the unbreakable bond those two women shared. I also REALLY enjoy a good horror flick.

Television:

I don't watch much TV except for Nickelodeon with my son. I've learned to love Sponge Bob and all his friends. But if I do get a chance to watch something, it is usually on the SCI FI channel or Discovery.

Books:

I don't get to read as much as I would like to, but I do enjoy a good Stephen King or Dean Koontz book. The Da Vinci Code was also quite interesting, and reading the 12 and 12 along with the Big Book is an ongoing venture. The answers to all my problems are contained within the pages of those two books.

Heroes:

My heroes are my kids. They have stood by my side through thick and thin. I am so proud of all of them. Also, two really important ladies in my life, Jacquie and Mimi, who showed me the way to personal freedom. They held my hand and walked me through some of my darkest times. I learned that it was okay to cry, but then I had to put the pain away and move on. Through their dignity, beauty and grace they have taught me how to live and not just survive......
