Grand amateur de sorbets (coupe colonel),fétichiste en diable mais surtout spécialiste de la chanson à tiroirs,Olivier Rocaboy -aux origines de la créature ALL IF- naît en Bretagne-Sud dans les premières vapeurs du giscardisme. Loin du French clinquant et de l'über-cool,ALL IF tente de creuser un sillon. ALL IF est ainsi une structure mutante (la formation est appelée à être augmentée au gré des circonstances;clavecinistes bienvenus) de type folk-pop. Un goût immodéré pour les mélodies favorise cette distillation d'eaux-de-vie pop,d'entêtantes mélopées;oui,des mélodies directement issues d'un alambic Chapelle 60'sTM.Une profonde sympathie pour l'Internationale Hirsute incarnée par Tellier,Banhart et consorts en témoigne. Détournements de l'axe Macca-Wilson,citations latines,clins d'oeil tropicalistes,fulgurances lysergiques,tentatives d'épuisement d'un Sol majeur,etc...telles sont les routes empruntées par le vaisseau ALL IF. Vies antérieures et side-projects de l'atome: Young Bishop,Madras (en compagnie de Nicolas Sauvage/William Foster),Gershwin On Fire,The Fa-Keers,Special Guest... Demos,concerts et auto-productions se multiplient depuis une dizaine d'années (à noter "Easter Monday" pour Record Makers et "Dancing with a Shadow" avec Electromenager pour les compilations "Travaux Publics" de Rubin Steiner). La cadence s'accéléra en 2006 grâce à un coup de pouce des amis William Foster (fondateurs du label SILAB) dont ALL IF assura régulièrement la première partie. Après une agréable parenthèse estivale ponctuée par de nombreuses prestations en France,Irlande,Italie,Belgique,Danemark et Allemagne,l'actualité d'ALL IF se précise:concerts parisiens, parution d'un album en 2008.
