Yasmine Kyd is a French-born half-Berber singer/songwriter who is currently based in Paris. Hailed by many as one of the best voices in french indie pop for her participation in bands Lighthouse and Novela, Yasmine is now making her solo debut with original material reflecting the many sides of her creative world.
After a brief but very productive collaboration with Julien Groult (Nujeli), she joined forces with a bunch of fine musicians to launch her live band: The Yaz Project .
Kyd' s new material combines her soul-rooted inspiration with a melody-oriented pop background and nu-soul arrangements. Her mellifluous singing and sensitive lyrics are dangerously appealing. Surrender ! 1: Lighthouse. 2: Novela. 3: Kyd
