I am ROBERTO CRESCENTI, from SAO PAULO Brazil, currently in BONN Germany doing some musical experimentations with Brazilian rhythms and other beats. I play guitars (classical, folk and electric), bass, percussion and do the vocals. The SAMBA/FUNK/BOSSA started with a great friend and musician SIMON SCHEIBEL on drums and percussion.
I also have a TRIO here in Germany with 2 Brazilian percussionists: SINVAL BIROSKA and VÉU DE SOUZA, and we are releasing our new demo CD, also mixing Brazilian rhythms and harmonies with soul, funk, drum & bass and other beats. We are playing in the Köln-Bonn region and starting to spread our music to other areas.
In Brazil I played for about 7 years in a band called DECOMPOSITORES (www.decompositores.cjb.net), a project I started with friends at university, in Curitiba, and that is on until today with the best Samba-Funk.
Before that, in Sao Paulo, I took part in Rock and Blues bands and played in the underground circuit.
In these recordings (still a bit raw and simple...) I show some of my own compositions and also versions of songs from other composers. All in all, songs that are meaningful to me for different reasons.
