Clever Things owns and operates several web sites ranging from social networking to variety retail. The company recently celebrated 10 years of success thanks to our employees and customers.Gary is a member of the Echota Cherokee Tribe in Alabama. The project is a community service of Clever Things, LLC, and depends on the generous donations of time and resources volunteered by employees and friends.Gary was born in the small town of Tuscumbia, Alabama (the birthplace of Helen Keller). He spent the first decade of his life growing up in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.Mr. Wright graduated high school in 1989 from Huntsville High School in Huntsville, Alabama. In 1991, he joined the Navy and served as a RADAR and guided missile system specialist in the US Navy aboard the USS Stout (DDG-55).In June of 1995, he left the Navy to be a broadcast engineer for radio and television stations. A crushed left hand injury has placed the band on hiatus for an extended period of time. Struggler hopes to return to the recording studio soon!Mr. Wright now suffers from a rare muscle disease (myopathy) which has left him disabled and restricted to a wheelchair for most of the day.Gary currently resides in Atlanta with his partner Brandon.

My Interests

Mr. Wright has a deep LOVE for all animals (dogs are his favorite). Most of his time is either spent on running his business or being a human rights activist, so he doesn't have much time for hobbies. He reads over fifty industry trade magazines each month. For news, he relies on reading the Atlanta Business Chronicle newspaper for business news, and he watches the BBC News to keep up with things going on in the rest of the world. Before becoming disabled from a rare myopathy (muscle disease), Gary enjoyed performing as the lead guitarist for Struggler™, swimming, hiking, and just being in and appreciating nature.

I'd like to meet:

Music:

Gary is one of the rare people who appreciate almost all genres of music. He listens to everything from thrash metal, Old School, Rap, R&B, Alternative, Trance, Club, House, Drums & Bass and classical. Some of his favorite music is from Ludacris, T.I., Metallica, Ozzy, Motorhead, Joe Satriani, Rush, Afroman, 20 Fingers, any many more! Mr. Wright loves to support all of the artists in Atlanta, where he currently resides.Gary's favorite Classical composer is Niccolo Paganini for his violin arrangements. As he puts it, "Paganini created the first real "stage show", when he would play his ass of and at the end of the concert he would smash his violin in front of audiences. Back then, this really terrified people. I have always wanted to play his stuff on the electric guitar."In 1986, Gary Wright II founded a heavy metal band called Struggler™ and played on an east coast tour. An accident nearly took off his left hand and put his music career on hold. Struggler™ may go back into the studio again, but due to health reasons there are currently no plans for another tour.

Movies:

Mr. Wright really enjoys watching horror films. Gary is the only person on the Internet that does not like to watch porno! His favorite actor is Leonardo DiCaprio.

There is almost always a television on in Gary's house and at work. His favorite channels include the History channel, PBS, National Geographic, TLC, and Discovery. He mostly likes to watch science and other educational programming. To relax, Gary likes to watch Anime (InuYasha is his favorite), Family Guy, American Dad, The Simpsons, Futurama, South Park, Shin Chan, The Boondocks, and the 3 Stooges. When it comes to science fiction, he used to enjoy watching shows like Farscape or Lexx. He is probably the only computer geek that doesn't like Star Trek. He liked Stargate the movie, but doesn't like the television series.

Books:

Stephen R Donaldson, David Eddings,Aleister Crowley,John Dee, HP Lovecraft, Edgar Allen Poe, Steven King. His favorite book is Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo. His favorite series of books is The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant - The Unbeliever by Stephen R Donaldson
