Joachim "Joe" Harmut
is a musician and artist who's a native of Germany, most notably from an area called "Ruhrgebiet" long known for its melting pot of german blues and rock music. Located in Düsseldorf on the Rhein, Joe is one of the originators of the "german blues" scene along the Rhein and Ruhr.
His influences include british skiffle and blues music from the 50's and 60's, early authentic american blues from the 30's and 40's, as well as contemporary city/urban-blues. And of course Joe's own original german/english songs. All this makes for an amazing and varied blues program that keeps audiences on their feet. "Joe BluesBand", as his band is known, combines swinging rhythms and rocking beats, with cool guitar licks paying true homage to the original sounds.
