Robbie Gladwell is a member Steve Harley's Cockney Rebel and tours the world regularly with Steve. He has played with many famous artists over the years, a few of which are listed below:
BB King, Suzi Quatro, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Jack Bruce, Soul legend Percy Sledge, Little Eva, members of the BBC 'Eastenders' cast on solo recordings, Pete York (Spencer Davis Group), Frank Gambale (Chick Korea's electric band) Twink (Pink Fairies) and Ted McKenna (Womack & Womack). Robbie has, as well, shared Stages with Albert Lee (The Everly Brothers), James Burton (Elvis Presley), Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd), and Tom Jones.Robbie is also a trained maker and repairer of stringed musical instruments, who acts as a consultant to many companies in the music industry worldwide. He has been the demonstrator for Gibson guitars in the UK and throughout the world for a number of years, and he does listening tests and demonstrations for Celestion Loudspeakers.As a well known music journalist, he has a monthly column in 'Guitarist' magazine, known in the business as 'Dr Robert'. Robbie has his own workshops, having built, repaired and customised guitars for some of world's leading guitarists.
