The Bellyband

About Me

1994-1995
Established around 1994 in Bergen, Norway, Joakim Obstfelder (guitar, some vocals), Christian Baldersheim (guitar), Magne Torsvik (bass) and Erlend Iversen (drums). Covering bands like Raga Rockers (norwegian punk/rock, legendary band) and Ramones. At the time, the band was called "SKABB"
1996-1998
Skabb started up again, this time in a place called "Kardemommehuset". Most likely the shabbiest house in town. New crew: Mami (bass) and Torgeir Vaula (drums) Can't remember exactly what happened, both Mami and Torgeir left after a while. Joakim and Christian never gave up though, hired Dag Ljosland (bass) and Birte (drums). "Kardemommehuset" was torn down. BÃ¥rd S. Larsen..
2001-2003
Changed the name of the band to "Balder & the Bellyband" or just "(The) Bellyband".
2004-2005
Joakim and Christian get a place to practice at AKKS. Hired Kyrre Tvedt (bass) and Torgeir (drums again)

2005-2006
Torgeir leaves the band. Hans-Henrik is now our substitute drummer. Played at the Oktoberrock festival in Ã…lvik New place to practice. Down by the docks, perfect. Stian Jacobsen becomes our new drummer.
