About Me

alias smith & jones began in March, 2006, when Greg Eades (bass, vocals/Vanilla Trainwreck) and Isaac Lake (guitar, vocals) got together with Danny Kurtz (guitar, vocals/The Backsliders, Whiskeytown, Roman Candle) Bill Westall (drums/Vanilla Trainwreck, Red Skeleton) and Ken Bowers (guitar, keyboards/Vanilla Trainwreck) to get some songs together and record a six-song demo with Greg Elkins at Desolation Row in Raleigh, NC. The songs combine elements of things nuanced and raw, rustic and progressive, each carried by a natural melody. Drums and bass blow the gates on every song, while lead guitar rips through jagged crunchy chords that stab and reel. Each song rocks like a shot thrown back, and cuts through as it goes down.I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
