Lone Star Film Society, Fort Worth, Texas, exists to preserve and present the art of the moving image and examine its influence on world culture. LSFS is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation, dedicated to cultivate an appreciation of the Visual Arts; engender visual literacy, support community efforts regarding the film; and to build recognition of Fort Worth as an International Film Festival destination.
Lone Star Open Screen Night
Beginning in August 2006, Lone Star Film Society will present a new series in support of the Indie. Open Screen Night will be a bi-monthly showcase of local talent and their independent films. Calls for entries will occur 45 days prior to each showing. Those films will be screened. One feature and multiple shorts will be featured on Open Screen Night. Lone Star Film Society will provide the film maker with marketing tools as well as a chance for questions and answers from the audience. Tickets will be priced at $5.00 per person which includes all the movies for the evening as well as refreshments.
The Venue for Open Screen Night is the Rose Marine Theater located at 1440 North Main Street in Fort Worth.
