Bootstraps Comedy Theater...Comedy Is Our Middle Name...get it?

About Me

Bootstraps Comedy Theater was founded in 2003 with the following mission:
Bootstraps Comedy Theater was born from our love of laughter. We feel that laughter IS the best medicine and a way to break down the walls that exist between people shackled by societal norms. We believe strongly in the literary value of comedic drama and the effect of a well-produced comedy on an audience of humans. We believe in silliness, irony, goofiness, double entendre and laughing even when you're not sure what you're laughing at.The mission of Bootstraps Comedy Theater is to put joy in the heart, a smile on the face and laughter on the lips of each and every audience member.
Bootstraps was founded by theater artists who worked together in the Theatre Department of Stephen F. Austin State University.
The Founders are:
Matt Lyle, Kim Lyle, Joyous Israel, Brian Witkowicz, Jeremy Whiteker, Brian Cope, James Keller, Stacie Barra, and Brian Hathaway
Other SFAers to work with B.S. are Jennifer Youle, Alyssa Yarde, Jen Ludlam, Kent Barrett, Camron Cooke, Ben Greeley, Michael Speck, Marie Charlson and Tara Christensen
And while we love to work with our Lumberjack friends, we are thrilled to work with anyone who likes to have a good time and do good theater!
We do funny plays and we like it! We hope you will, too!
