It's important to think. It's what separates us from lentils.

About Me

some people never go crazy.
what truly horrible lives they must lead.

-charles bukowski
Watching my son take his first steps, I learned
walking is simply controlled falling.
and Running means falling faster...
I've been running for some time now,
but the trick, which I've yet to master,
is to fall forward.
--myself
It's nothing perfect or complete, but this is what I've made of my life. Right or wrong, it follows no great master plan.
All you can do is hope for a pattern to emerge, and sometimes it never does.
Still, with a plan, you only get the best you can imagine. I'd always hoped for something better than that.

--Chuck Palahniuk
Jack Lucas: Where would King Arthur be without Guinevere?
Parry: Happily married, probably.
Jack Lucas: Well, that's a bad... that's a bad example.

--The Fisher King
Alice: Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?
Cat: That depends a good deal on where you want to get to.
Alice: I don't much care where--
Cat: Then it doesn't matter which way you go.
Alice: --so long as I get somewhere.
Cat: Oh, you're sure to do that if you only walk long enough.

-Charles Lutwidge Dodgson

My Interests

really, this could take a while.
high-points:
my precious children, learning from you, climbing,
rugby, live music, art, sailing,
conversation, meditation, movies,
Greek food, Thai food, other food.

Caden and Emily

I'd like to meet:

In the past two years, I've seen small successes, major failures, a divorce, the loss of: home, family, children, wheels, love, sense of purpose, and a few more trivial things.
But I'm on my way back up. Newly inspired, feeling a general resurgence of will.
The past has finally become the past.
1 - Thanks to those who have remained true friends.
2 - Good Riddance to those who have betrayed my trust.
3 - To the very few who have hurt me (those whom I've loved enough to make it possible): I have learned to honor your role in my life, and I'm glad for what we had. I could never become the man I'm becoming without the pain you taught me.
People I want to Meet:
more of the True Friends;
I'd also love to meet an honest woman, a unicorn, a hobbit, and any other mythical creatures.
Things I want to do:
Spend more time with my children;
Rekindle my love of photography...
find the perfect job for me.
Travel. and I mean everywhere.
continue growing, spiritually.
Make music. share the songs in my heart with all of you
enjoy the simple things a little more
Produce something. a film, a book, a house, anything.
Publish my grandfather's poetry
find a home. somewhere.
find a good woman who loves me.
meditate on the mysteries of the universe
study diverse religions and cultures
finally complete the Artists' Way program
