The new and third album by singer and songwriter Gabriela Krapf and her band shines with courageous song recipes melting tenderly and bearing a slinky profoundness. In a pact with sound magician Peter Scherer (Laurie Anderson, Bill Frisell, Caetano Veloso), Lobith concocted their acoustic Sunday land between Stockholm, Zurich and New York. The group globalizes at a high level. Kudos it's all so cosmo-romantic.
Lobith fill your evening sky with melancholic happiness, gather up ripe fruit and even make playground slides come true. «sunday land» is an incitement for pirouettes lost in thought. Put a garland in your hair and encircle yourself with things you have only dreamt about until now. And if you can't count to three at some stage, throw a snowball at the sun at let yourself be blinded. There's so much sky around.
