It is true, Ardent have broken up!!
After some internal decisions, the powers that be decided that Ardent would no longer continue in its current form. Ardent have now parted ways. Sean Jason and Craig have already moved onto a new band
Chris and Damo are in the process of starting a new band. They already have a new vocalist, and are in the process of trying out drummers and bassists. If you are interested, then please feel free to send a message through to this myspace, or through to www.myspace.com/damoesp

Ardent
Ardent was born one afternoon in a garage in early 2006, where 4 like minded musicians; Sean (vocals), Damo (Guitars/Backing Vocals), Chris (Guitar) and Jason (Drums) got together for the first time, and after 30 minutes of jamming, knew that it was a match made! After a few months of jamming and writing, the band enlisted the help of bass player and friend Andrew, to continue the writing process. This relationship was short lived, and after Andrews departure, a bass player by the name of Dan stepped into the picture and was with Ardent for about a year. After that, Dan moved on, and now we have Craig as our new kick arse bassist!
Ardent's sound has been described as a cross over of older thrash metal (Metallica, Megadeth), groove of 90's (Pantera, Zakk Wylde..Black Label Society..Arch Enemy), some newer metal influences (Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, Mudvayne, Devildriver) and of course, Ardent's own unique take on metal.
Currently Ardent are continuing to gig around the Perth metal scene to further expand their fan-base. With a renowned live show, Ardent have been tearing up the local scene and giving fans something fresh and heavy! An Ardent live show just isnt a gig, its an experience!
