About Me

Singer/songwriter and Bouzoukiplayer living in the midst of the Baltic sea.

Born in southern Sweden but grown up in and shaped by Stockholm. Moved to Gotland at autumn 1987 and is now living in the midst of the agriculture district, more precisly Roma. I have played the bouzouki since 1985 and been writing songs for decades.

Started out playing guitar as a teenager but jumped to 5-stringed banjo, mandolin, harmonica and ended up with a bouzouki in me knee.
In the end of the 70-ties I went to a concert with the irish band "Bothyband". Their music struck me to the heart and since then there has been a lot of both scottish and irish music.

1989 did I start the "Patraskproject".Played the club and festival circuit in Sweden. (Hultsfred, Vastervik, Vattenfestivalen etc. Also 2 albums was realeased 1992 "Patrask"

and 1994 "Eldorado".
During 1995 did the musical style change and I did..nt have any natural place in the band anymore and in the summer I left Patrask behind me after six fun years with the band.

After some years not so active but still playing with different musiscians I whent on a short CO-writers reatreat with Singer/songwriters Brett Perkins and Annika Fehling spring 2003.
That was the beginning on a three years way back in to the Music.

Since then there has been a co-writerretreat in HolmHaellar, Gotland-Sweden and I have been there every time since the start 2004.
Autum 2004 was a new Patrask formed and in late spring 2005 the start of the Dockside Projekt took form. Early summer 2006 I am doing my comeback to the artist life.

2006 I did participate in the retreat at Samsoe, Denmark and met a lot of new interesting people. I also came back to stage, mostly in Gotland but some other places as well. Finally I brought a new lineup for Patrask, my swedishspoken folkrock band, together.
During these last years I have had the honor to cowrite with such wonderful songwriters as Klaus Caprani (DK), Eva Hillered (S), Maria Blom (S), Lennart Dahlberg (S), Gunnar Järeld (S), Tom Kimmel (US), Louis Nipper (DK), Merit Hemmingsson (S) and many more.
2007 was the year Patrask came back on stage. Also during the year there was a lot of studiowork both for my self and engineering a folksong reccord with Rosalie and Jan Ekedahl. I did a small trip to Copenhagen in april and was honored twice in the spring, participating on two different reccords with my bouzouki, both for T.Mansfeld ang G. Jaereld
And now its 2008 :-)
/Bo

I also work with some other bands, doing consultings and some bookings etc
