chris toast

I am an artist who burns images in bread therefore it's toast. I call it Toast modernism. I live in Austin, Tx. I've burned many images and sold them to those poor souls who buy them. The ones that sell the most are Christ on the Crust, or Jesus Crust, or the Crust-a-fiction. I like puns. He was Crust-a-fied. If Christ was a hillbilly he might be in-bread. Let us remember it is his body! Lettuce give thanks to the Baker The Bun and the Holy Toast. I am in 3 bands. The oldest is my punk rock band. As you may have guessed it's called Chris Toast Trio even though there are 4 members. If I start a side project other than my band I shall call it Post-Toasties. I also have a DEVO tribute band called BIG MESS. We were called Marks Mothersballs, but we changed it. We could have had fun with this name by placing the 'S' after Mark (making it non-possessive) and putting it in front of mothers changing it to a verb making it 'Smothers' which changes the meaning to an action (Mark Smothersballs). Anyway, out of respect to one of my most favorite rockstars, Mark Mothersbaugh, we decided to call ourselves BIG MESS (a DEVO song). Also there are those who don't know who Mark Mothersbaugh is (Usually people under 30). And...oh yea, We do not play Whip It. The third band I recently joined is a Spaghetti Western-surf band called The Long Shadows. This is great because I'm Italian and always loved Ennio Moricone's music.
