The seed of Horrid was planted back in 1989. The band was founded by the two original members who are still Max (Bass) and Belfagor (Guitar). Their first drummer (Istrice) left after 2 months, after wich two other drummers were replaced,Draughar (1994) and Mick (1996) James joined the band in 1990 and was assigned to voice. The four members then produced a first demotape entitled "Eternal suffering" (hellhammer influeces) they gradually evolved their sound into an interesting "Swedish" orientated sound until a year after "Eternal suffering" in 1993 they produced a powerful and much faster demo named "You are mine". In this period Morris helped the band as voice. Then Robert (guitar) joined the four boys to finally complete the band with a much fuller sound esp. Live.In 1995 Horrid recorded "Awaiting for the truth" 7 inch EP on Cryptic Soul Prod. after one more self distributed "promo 97", the new and definitve drummer Matt (drums) joined the band and with a deal signed with Italian label Behind the Mask prod. they flew to Stockholm (Sweden) and recorded a 4 tracks of heavy and melodic death metal "Blasphemic Creatures" with the godly help of Tomas Skogsberg Horrid produced a first class four tracks. Many positive reviews about MCD arrived from everywhere in the world. At the beginning of 1999 James left the band and Robert, already guitarist, joined also a voice. In july 2000 the band signed a new deal with French label Deadsun records and at the end of 2000 Robert left the guitar only for the voice and the new guitarist Alex joined the band in January 2001. Horrid recorded at Sunlight studio with Tomas Skogsberg during April and June 2001 "Reborn in sin" new album with 7 tracks of sad, obscure, more fast old swe-death! In February 2002 Alex left the band, Horrid decided to continue in 4 elements. And we've recorded the new cd in Denmark with mighty Anders Lundemark(KONKHRA/DAEMON) like a producer and special voices in two songs..then we've signed a deal with Xtreemmusic(Dave Rotten's Label) and album was out at the end of march of 2006...After 12 years Robert left the band,
Satras is new singer of Horrid,.In January 2008 Simo, Matt's brother, joins the band as the second guitarist,in april 2008 matt(drums) left the band
