Straight forward, hard working and powerfull are words that will give you a small description of what 1000 Miles Ahead stands for.Hailing from Gelderland (the Netherlands), with their roots in Nijmegen, is 1000 Miles Ahead a band which is working hard to get their name esthabilished in the punkrock-hardcore scene, in and beyond the boundries of Holland.Started out April 2006, 1000 Miles Ahead plays fast paced punkrock with melodic hardcore elements embedded in their sound. You should think about bands like Good Riddance, Black Train Jack. Lagwagon, but allso Gorilla Biscuits and the Dutch band Crivits.Text wise 1000 Miles Ahead gets their inspiration from everyday social issues, often with a personal undertone.In their short existence 1000 Miles Ahead played quite a few shows, which they obtained through hard working and a DIY mentality, there are more shows planned in the near future and they are always looking for places where they can rock. At this point they've already shared the stage with bands like Giving Chase (USA), WooF (Dld), The Apers, Onfire, Progress and Smash the Statues. Their live gigs are known for their energy, fun and enthousiasm which they show on stage. This is exactly what the band wants to bring to the crowd : Fun and energy, but with a critical undertone.Besides playing gigs, theyâ€™re allso busy writing new songs. In May 2007 a demo has been recorderd by the infamous Michiel Toenink. This demo was released in August 2007. The band expects to record a full-lengt album somewhere around May next year.

Back from the studio
