Society:OFF is what most people would define as Polit-Punkrock with small SKA influences.
Sounds strange but exactly identifies what Society:OFF does.
With two straightforward Guitars, fast drums, a pushing bass and
two hard voices the 4 young guys from germany point out,
whatPunkrock should sound like.
No effects, no rant, it..s just Punk music and deliberate Words.
Expressive political Lyrics and significant sing-along-parts
make the people sweat and scream.
S:O has been making music together for 2 Years.
The name is not like being "against everything" it..s being against the genreal principles of a
regardless Society that basically stands for capitalism and prejudice. We found the band
do advice the world of the social and political abuse in the present.
Far beyound any stereotypical or commercial thinking and because of our dedication to the music
we try to make the people deliberate.
Society:OFF developed from the Band "Manic Blankets". Marv and Chris thought it was time to
stand up and do something more than just hanging around and talking about a bad world.
More in that case means to stand up and rise against this world. Together with Manu and Flo they
set up a Projekt called Society:OFF. Shortly after the inception in 2005 we spend nearly one year
in the practise room to find ourselfs and our musical roots.
Beginning of 2006 we played our first show in the spot. It was an open-stage show.
At this night we ran across Icarus Trip To The Sun. And from the first time on we were something
like the best friends ever. Playing shows with them has been always a great thing to us.
Shortly after that, more and more shows and more and more people came along. During the next
months we played support shows and festivals with national and international bands like

In April 2007 we recorded a 4-Track Demo EP called "Demonstration" at the MinorFatDiner Studio
in Neustadt/Germany
Music
Our Music is based on punk-rock, which is filled with small ska-parts and fast hardcore passages.
Affected by Bands like Rise Against, The Suiciede Machines, Anti-Flag and Strike Anywhere we
created our very own individual sound, which cannot be classed into one of the sub-genres of
punk-rock.
Lyrics
Our textes maybe ironic but they contain the necessary seriousness. We write Songs about the
media, terror, war, social abuse, capitalism and other political themes. Our Lyrics are all wirten in
english because the spread of this language around the world helps us to bring the music better
to the people.
