heres a nifftly little band bio for those that care...
In the early 90's, two years before the national punk resurgance, four highschool aged friends formed the unseen. The ledgendary Boston Punk scene of the eighties had long since faded, many feared the glory days of boston underground music were gone. Gang Green, Mision of Burma, Slapshot, and countless others had all split up or abandon the punk movement for more commercially safe sounds. All that was left was boring unispired bar bands and alternative rip offs.
A year after forming and constant practicing/writting in the garage, the Unseen were ready to attempt to fill void left by their predecessors. Assuming that there were others that shared their love for agressive music, even if it was being made by teenage amatures, began constantly giging in Boston clubs like the Rat or middle East club. Each gig found more and more kids who shared their views on the current music scene and as the band grew so did their following. Soon after they released a string of singles, one after another, and began touring the the northeast playing any shit hole club that would rip them off.
Over the next 3 years the band released two full length records on a record label run by Pittsburg punk band Anti- Flag. They continued touring the country, now heading all over the states, instead of being stranded soley in the Northeast.
As the band grew they needed more label support than AF records could muster, so they made the jump to BYO. BYO records, run by the Stern brothers of the infamous Youth Birgade, had years of experience in realsing great punk records, from the Bouncing Souls to their own Sink with Kalifornia. BYO used their years of experience to put out the Unseen. Their next two records, The Anger and the Truth, and Explode, saw the Unseen reaching new hights in popularity. Tours in Europe and Japan followed, as well as a few summers on the Warped tour.
In 2004 the band made the jump to the indie giant Hell Cat records, and the following album, "State of Discontent" did well by the band's standards and presented them with a whole new reason to hit the road for an insane amount of time (which of course they did), playing shows all over the world and spreading their message to anyone who'd listen. Now in the twilight months of 2006 the boys prepare themseves for the recording of stilll another record. The yet to be titled album will again be released by Hell Cat, sometime in late spring/early summer 2007.
