Taking the best bits from the early Epitaph catalog and blending it with Propagandhi-esque tempo switches, they bring back the sometimes emotional, often raging, always passionate melodic punkrock we seem to have lost to little-sister-pants/youth-sized-shirt wearing metrosexuals these last years.
Releasing a self-titled demo (recorded by Bob Demarsin at Bob’s place), a split-cd with labelmates Old Fashion Heroes and theit debut full-length The Risk To Lose It All (both produced and recorded by Patrick Delabie at Studio 195 and released by Burned Star Records) they’ve become a household name in Belgian punkrock.
Second Base however is more than a great studio band. Playing both support slots for bands like Belvedere, Useless I.D., Ignite, Strike Anywhere, The Loved Ones, Easyway and No Children and often headlining numerous local shows have proven that a stage (or lack thereof) is where they feel at home.
