THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS (on tour!)

About Me

The Living Daylights, a hard working punk rock band from Lincoln, England. The bands sound has been compared to that of Rise Against, Hot Water Music & The Bouncing Souls yet still manage to maintain their own identity with a unique mix of singalong vocal harmonies, a hard hitting rhythm section and melodic yet raw guitar melodies.
The quintet made up of Sam Cook (lead Vocals), Matt Hendry (guitar), Alex Johnson (guitar) Kurt Colman (bass guitar) and Dan Brogan (drums) first formed in August 2007 and since then have played a countless shows and a number of UK & European tours reaching audiences in Italy, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria and Slovenia and sharing the stage with bands such as Smoke Or Fire, Rentokill, Sundowner, Mike Park, Failsafe, From Plan To Progress, The Leif Ericsson and many more. The band has also had airplay on many different radio stations worldwide including Radio 1's Lock Up Show and had great press from Big Cheese Magazine, Punktastic, Rocksound and many more worldwide.
The band released a self titled EP in January 2008 which featured 5 tracks recorded at Premier Studios, Corby with Iain Wetherall, just 10 weeks after forming. By August 2008 12 tracks were recorded at Holne Bridge Studios, Exeter with Peter Miles (producer of Sonic Boom Six, Capdown, King Blues & more) which was later released as the debut album "Ways To Escape" through Fond Of Life Records which was distributed in Europe, UK and America in all good record stores such as Interpunk, HMV, Itunes, Amazon and many more. The record was also released in Italy by No Reason Records & Fastlife Records in Japan by December 2008.
