I live in Sydney, work for a record label during the day and DJ by night.
I'm resident DJ at onelove @ Tank and play regular guest spots around Sydney's clubs including The Chinese Laundry, I also frequently play around Australia at clubs including Family (Brisbane), ONELOVE @ The Prince (Melbourne), Platinum (Gold Coast), Limelite (Perth), Electric Circus (Adelaide).
In July 2006 I mixed a CD for Sydney's Chinese Laundry, Jon Carter mixed the other disc. I've also had two other mixed CDs released.
Recently I've been concentrating on remixes & production with good friend and ace producer Nick Galea, our remix for Mark Dynamix and Jaytech's single - "Destructor" (on Hussle/M.O.S)made it on the Ministry of Sound Discotek CD, both it and our remix of the Potbelleez "Junkyard" (on Vicious)both reached the top 5 of the Australian club chart. We have two more remixes on the way, including Scenario Rock's "Skitzo Dancer" and Jeff Drake & Nash T's "Rollover Rockstar"

MATT NUGENT BIO
Matt Nugent is on of Australia’s most in demand DJs, holding down high-profile residencies at two of Sydney’s leading club nights "ONELOVE" @ tank and the legendary “Chinese Laundry†and as well as various guest spots around Australia. Originally making a name for himself in Brisbane, with residencies at "Family", "The Empire", "Monastery" & Viva as well as playing at pretty much any club or one-off party worth going to. Matt has mixed it with the cream of the crop at his club gigs & during the national summer festival circuit at Good Vibrations, Summerfieldayze, Vibes on a Summers Day, Two Tribes and more. At these large events and at his club gigs Matt became the go to man to play warm up or play directly after international touring DJs whenever they hit town.
Although, predominately a house DJ, Matt is very versatile across various genres of dance music, so promoters know they can slot him in pretty much anywhere and he'll still come packed full of surprises. Something he did to the delight of the evening crowd during 2004's Good Vibrations Festival sandwiched between two acts as contrasting as Nitin Sawhney and Moloko and then again between Arrested Development and Mylo in 2005.Matt has twice been nominated as best Brisbane DJ, in the Australian Dance Music Awards & rated number 2 in Brisbane and among the top 50 DJs in Australia through the popular voting competition on inthemix.com.au.
In 2006 Matt mixed a disc of the Chinese Laundry mix CD alongside the UK's Jon Carter. This is Matt's 3rd mixed CD to be released, it follows on from mixing Australian label Central Station's 30th anniversary CD release alongside Australian dance icon Groove Terminator (G.T/Tonite Only) as well as a mixed CD for Brisbane superclub Family.
2007 is shaping up to be a big year for Matt as he spends more and more time in the studio focusing on producing original material & remixing with production partner Nick Galea. The first week of 2007 saw 2 of Matt & Nick’s remixes crack the top 5 on the Australian club chart (of (the Potbelleez “Junkyard†and Mark Dynamix & Jaytech's "Destructor"), not a bad way to start the year at all.
