Music (isn't that what we're here for?), going out to see my favourite DJ's spin - love it!2007 has started off with a bang! So far, so good. I've spent NYD @ BBQ Breaks, which was messy but enjoyable none the less.My arm got twisted to go along to Summafieldayze, thank goodness I did. I get a real kick outta seeing my friends playing and was chuffed to be there as a "VIP" guest with Jason. Managed to get in for free (luckily I hadn't bought a ticket), complmentary drinks all day/night, and got to groove on stage when Jase played :)January was just a massive month - a great way to help with my New Years Resolution which is to get out of the house more often. One of my all time favourites, Roger Sanchez, played @ Family (finally) on the 27th. Funny story from that night actually. Got to Family at a reasonable hour (bout 10:30) went through to the Members Bar & was waiting to order a drink. Next thing I know something humps me in the head. Took me a few moments to work out what was going on but soon realise I had been clocked with an air conditioning vent. Luckily I'm tuff and after I had tended to the very large lump on my head I was into it, nothing was going to stop me! Awesome night, had such a wicked dance & just happened to be in the right place at the right time to get a hug & a kiss from the S Man - could not have been happier :)Had another massive night at Family March 31. Jason played a 5 hour "Retrospect" set. Nothing beats hearing "your" tunes when you'e out for a big one. You know those shivers down the spine - ooooohhh love it!
1. Armand Van Helden. The first time I "met" AVH I was completely starstruck. All I could ask was ask for his autograph (on my Enter the Meatmarket CD - pride of place) and throw my arms around him. I don't think I'd do much better if I had another chance, he optimizes cool as far as I'm concerned. Armand if by any chance you read this, can you please play in Brisbane when you come to Australia in April - pretty please.2. TOTO - just wanna meet the band & tell them how much I love "Africa" (and other tunes of course). Africa does it for me every time though. I'd also like to ask them, what's up with a "World Tour" that doesn't come to Australia?3. John Howard - I'd just like to give him a piece of my mind really
