From his humble beginnings in a small country town, to the big city lights of this nation, DJ Harvey has captured the clubbing world with his trademark style and energetic sets. With 20 years in the scene, Harvey has climbed his way up the ladder into the elite league of Australia’s best.Very popular amongst his peers, Harvey is considered one of the best support DJ’s in the country as he continues to play alongside some of the biggest international and national DJ’s in the world today. Whenever asked, he modestly would just say he was one of the quiet achievers of the Australian dance scene.In 2004, Harvey was appointed as the Main Resident at Australia’s newest superclub “Platinum” on the Gold Coast, and in only a short 18 months had taken this club to the top of the dance scene with its own unique and upfront bigroom sound.2007 saw DJ Harvey become a resident at Quest and Crobar Nightclub on the Gold Coast and The Met Nightclub respectively (Brisbane), where he continues to support renowned global Artists. In Addition DJ Harvey has started his own successful nights, “Envy” at Bar 240v in Mooloolaba, “Back 2 Luv” and “Sessions” at Rolling Rock Noosa, where he has successfully created the biggest house nights on the humble Sunshine Coast with crowds of over 800 returning week after week.The past 12 months has seen DJ Harvey teaching the next generation of DJ’s at the Lightsounds DJ Academy. Apart from this he has also headed back into the studio after seeing himself acquire an electronic engineering qualification at the Sound, Audio and Engineering Institute (SAE) which has paved the way for some exciting new production of his own, which without question won’t be long before we hear this talent nationally.DJ Harvey unquestionably maintains the excitement week after week through his electrifying and uplifting sets that incorporate a diverse mix of funky disco, breaks, electro and New York vocal. It is this uniqueness and his ability to always have the floor rocking and his fans asking for more.
