This then brought about the natural progression of getting behind the decks and bringing the music to the masses…Having been mixing for only the last two years and playing clubs for just over 1 year, Matt’s keen ear for Tech House, Electro and a dabbling in Progressive, Minimal and smatterings of Techno has earned him high esteem within the industry. This is supported in his residencies held with Kink, Moulin Rouge, Yu, Epping Hotel on Wednesdays, Mean Fiddler on Thursdays, L9one (Coolangatta), along with guest spots at clubs such as The Met (Brisbane), Platinum (Gold Coast), Code Nightclub (Auckland, NZ), Frostbites (Newcastle), Rolling Rock (Noosa) Ladylux, Havana, Favela, Le Panic, Candy’s Apartment, Mona Vale Hotel, Henry Afrikas, Carmens and The Roxy amongst a host of others…Previously performing as one half of The Nukewood Dj’s, Matt split from this and took it upon himself recently to take up Djing fulltime in order to further his career and develop his name within the industry. Now having played along side such international acts as Deadmau5, Funkagenda, Filthy Rich, Miles Dyson, Will Bailey, King Unique, Bodyrox, Heidi, Eric Laville, Anthony Pappa & Dj Kos, as well as Australias best in Ajax, Hook N Sling, John Course, Grant Smillie, Ben Morris, Aston Shuffle, Mark Dynamix, The Potbelleez, Trix ’n’ Goodfella, Bass Kleph, John Glover and plenty more, it’s definitely giving us the impression that this is just the start of something big…Not only a Dj, Matt also has built an empire running one of the biggest monthly Friday night parties ‘Excess‘. This night plays host to some of the biggest and best names in the scene and never fails to fill a dance floor with its amazing Dj lineups and awesome music policy…Matt’s fresh sound is already earning him a reputation for being the man who gets all the new tracks first and has quite a following to go along with it.
