I have done a progessive tech mix titled "Rocksteady". It's 70 minutes of techy proggy goodness. And since I assume most people are as lazy as me I am going to give you the direct link right now. All you gotta do is right click and select save as.RIGHT CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOADClick the picture below for my website with all my mixes:I'm a Sydney based DJ.Residencies:Smut - @ Lady Lux (Sunday weekly)
Kink - @ Arthouse (frequent guest aiiiiiiight)They say it's not what you know, but who you know and Goodfella must have known the right people, cause in the early days of his life as a club rat it wasn't his DJ ability winning him gigs, let me tell you that!Lack of DJ skills aside he WAS a 20 year old gurner-kid with the sparkle of ambition in his eyes. He caught on to the "electro" sound a little earlier than others and started a party with partner in crime Trix called "Electric Disco" in 2004 (by caught on I mean copied Bang Gang). This party blew up in popularity and all of a sudden was the talk of the town, being one of the first parties to do the whole electro mash-up thing. Other promoters took notice and started booking him, causing his head to grow at a greater rate than his ability. After the success of Electric Disco the gigs flowed thick and fast – main room at Kink, special guests at Bang Gang, Sounds on Sunday, Le Panic, Home Nightclub, Chinese Laundry, Tank, Ruby Rabbit, Lady Lux, Yu, Havana – if you can think of a club he played at it. Not bad for a guy who couldn't mix.Jumping on a plane and playing interstate meant a flight tag on the record bag and an extra notch on the DJ-wank ego. Goodfella knew that if he really wanted to hook up with hot girls interstate gigs were a must. And so followed gigs at (GPO & Mass Nightclub in Brisbane) (Platinum, The Bedroom and Mybar on the Gold Coast) & (Academy & Lot 33 in Canberra). Before long he found himself being added to festival lineups getting the chance to play alongside his DJ idols. This was just another step in his quest to establish the biggest DJ-wank ego possible, for festivals meant Artist lanyards, and Artist lanyards are even better for the ego than flight tags. He's played main room sets at We Love Sounds 2006 & 360 2006 as well as playing Parklife 2006, Earthdance 2006 and Future Music Festival 2006 & 2007.He has played alongside guys with much better reputations, more money, and more groupies than he. It seems the in thing to do is to bite off the wraps international acts get by listing who you've played alongside, so in the spirit of DJ biography etiquette he is doing the same. Eric Morillo, James Zabiela, Tiefschwarz, Sebastien Leger, Digitalism, Sharam Jey, Danny Howells, Felix Da Housecat, Steve Angello and a bunch of others have all had the pleasure of being on the same line-up as Goodfella.Somewhere along the way he has learnt to mix and now spends his days at work and play in the Kink bat cave headquarters, downloading as much as his computer will allow. Tech-house, prog, electro, minimal – it all gets downloaded and eventually played in the clubs. He is now weekly resident at the coolest club night in town, Smut @ Lady Lux. Nothing like a Sunday night booze session at Smut. You can also find him at Kink Sydney and Kink Brisbane, guest spots at Sydney clubs and random gigs in Wollongong, Newcastle, Perth, Cairns & other places around the country. That's about all the 3rd person big noting he can do for now. Adios.
