My Interests

James Taylor has been a major part of the Sydney Electronic music scene for the last 6 years. From the humble beginnings of being a resident at the now infamous Brooklyn Beat Boutique to Playing in front of 18000 people on New Years Eve right before Fatboy Slim last year, James has reached the Top of his profession in a staggeringly quick time.
You would be hard pressed to find a club that James hasn’t played at in Sydney. He has been part of almost every breaks night that Sydney has ever had to offer and is considered one of the major players in the Australian breaks scene. As one major dance magazine claimed James is on… “the lead council of the Australian breaks scene.” James has also played at just about every major Dance music festival that Sydney has to offer including Field day, Harbourlife, Parklife, Big Day Out, 360 and Shore Thing featuring Fatboy Slim on NYE 2005 @ Bondi beachAt the end of 2005, James produced his first commercially released mix CD. Fuzzy breaks vol. 2 is a double CD with one CD mixed by the Drummatic Twins and the other mixed by James. This CD was released Australia wide and has received praise from all round the country, particularly James’s CD, as it takes you on a journey through beats, hip hop, electro, house, tech funk and breaks. It can be purchased at all good record stores or at http://shop.fuzzy.com.au/products.asp?id=2&pId=FUZZC D009 His style varies from breaks to Hip Hop to electro to tech funk and everything in between. It’s his versatility that his seem him gain the label as one of Sydney’s hardest working DJ’s with his intensive schedule both in Sydney and interstate2006 was a huge Year for James as he was voted 44th in the inthemix national top 50 DJ awards. James was also voted runner up for DJ of the year in the 3d world end of year awards, coming 2nd to Australia’s number one DJ, Ajax. He continued to be billed at most major festivals in Sydney was in high demand both in Sydney and around the country.
