English born to Jamaican parents, Jacquoda is a mixture of Cherokee Indian with a Chinese bloodine. So exotic are her looks it's no surprise that she has a variety of tastes when it comes to her musical influences. 'My own music takes on a soulful, acoustic jazz feel. I listen to all kinds of music and I mean everything! The world is full of such variety, why not explore them all?...' I have come a long way in expression, since first putting pen to paper at the tender age of 11. My confidence took a boost after being chosen as runner-up in a songwriting competition in 1988, which was judged by the band 'Wet Wet Wet' since then I have never looked back.
