Drawings by ELOUGEE -"Musical History--- Guitarist Kevin was born on January 9th, 1957 in Jamaica, New York. He picked up a guitar 38 years ago and has never put it down. Kevin’s first group was “Funkhouse Express” which performed from 1973-1975. “Funkhouse Express” recorded “Music Makes You Move”. In 1975 Kevin moved on to co-found “Many Faces of Soul” and in 1979, he joined the “Board of Directors” which recorded the 12” single “Happy”. Since the ‘70’s, Kevin has continued his musical pursuits recording with Jazz Keyboardist Lonnie Liston Smith, touring with the "MARK IV", R&B sensation Evelyn “Champagne” King and R&B legend Wilson Pickett-1979,,,Joined and /or worked with the following local groups,,,,,APPLEJAM,,,KNEEDEEP,,PAGES OF HISTORY,,BARTLETTS CONTEMPS,MYSTIC TEARS & SPECIAL REQUEST continued with local R&B and Gospel groups.til 1999 . ALSO WORKING ON SMOOTH JAZZ & R&B PROJECTS WITH the'PERRY-WALKER PROJECT' & 'CROWNELOUGEE'and did a short stay with Chuck Stanley, 'Truth be Told','Devine Intentions and the Larry Epperson Project.."""THE SONG ON THE PLAYER ABOVE IS WRITTEN AND PERFORMED BY KEVIN J.
