Todd Hunter-Bad Animal Bassologist

I’ve always had music around me. My maternal grandfather was a heck of a fiddle player, and my paternal grandmother was a top-notch organist. My folks played ’beautiful music’ for whales. Actually, that was WAYL on the radio. I started playing piano in 2nd grade, and began playing violin in 4th grade. Several years of study would find me playing with the state’s top youngsters in the Twin Cities Youth Symphony, and again in The Atlanta Youth Symphony. I would discover the bass guitar in high school and played keys and bass in a band with my friend Jason below.

I stopped playing sometime around 1990 and pursued a career in broadcasting, which has allowed me to travel & live in places like Las Vegas and Seattle. Over the years, I’ve done time at KKLZ-FM (Vegas), KZOK-FM (Seattle), KXLP-FM (Minnesota), and most recently KCLH-FM (mornings in Wisconsin), along with a handful of other stations in Minnesota and Nebraska.
My wife of nearly 16 years has also been married to radio for the same amount of time, and has been incredibly supportive of my career choices. Even when I hung up my headphones and started playing music again. I recently joined the ranks of voice-over talents in The Twin Cities with Moore Creative Talent agency (GREAT people!), and have done my very first photo shoot with them =-) I’m seriously considering a return to broadcasting sometime this year, but in the meantime painting pays the bills (sort of!), and I’m blessed to be able to perform with some of Minnesota’s finest musical talents in The Bad Animals-A Tribute To Heart!
