Hi, Im Sandy DiMancari, the lead vocalist of the Bad Animals-A Tribute to the Legendary Rock group Heart. I started singing around age 19 but didn’t really hit it hard until the late 80’s, when I fronted several Local Rock bands. I met my husband, Leni DiMancari one night while performing at a local nightclub. Our eyes met and our friendship materialized into a love affair and marriage soon after. At the time he was retired from a long music career and working for WHMH radio as the Evening Drive host & Promotions Director, but I changed that one day when I showed up at his home with a guitar rig. Leni & I formed the very popular Rock band Obsession X in 2001 that specialized in the Harder edge of Diva Rock, covering Heart, Lita Ford, Saraya, Cher, Melissa Etheridge, Pat Benetar, & Evanescence as well as covering Rock hits of Firehouse and Van Halen w/ Sammy Hagar. Obsession X was fortunate enough to land two of our songs on the Radio with "Black Eyed Suzy" and the song we wrote together called "Caught in the Undertow", both of which were on the Saint Cloud Rocks CD and the Central Mn Rock CD. "Black Eyed Suzy" was the number one downloaded song for 2002 on CMR. After performing over 150 shows a year, we moved away from Obsession X and formed the Bad Animals-A Tribute to HEART, and have toured the Major Club and Casino circuit in the 5 state area for the past 4 years. We were nominated for the Minnesota Music Award for Best Tribute Band and Best Cover Band for 2006 by the Minnesota Music Academy. In 2007, our band was fortunate enough to perform to over 50 thousand people, covering 45 stops on tour and 4 major festivals. Im blessed to be able to play with some of the greatest musicians that I have ever played with in my career in the Bad Animals, and enjoy every minute that I get to sing these amazing songs. We just kicked off the Love Rocks Tour in January of 08. Music has been an inspiration to me since the first time I ever turned on the radio. Im an Animal lover & together we have alot of Birds, 4 Dogs, 4 Cats and alot of other creatures running around the house. I love my family, my life, God and my best friend Leni.
