(OOC FYI: I never saw the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "E2" until long after creating this character, so no, I didn't get the "balance between logic and emotion" thing from there.)
My name is Samantha T'Pel Wildman and I am the daughter of Mara Wildman and Lieutenant Vorik .
==The Chaos Before My Birth==
The Borg from the future experimented with a new form of time travel. Due to their inexperience they inadvertently sent information into the past (approximately Stardate 58480) about a person who would cause the destruction of nearly half of the Collective. The Borg of that day picked up on the transmission and filed the information away.
Entities from the 4th dimension found a breach in the space-time continuum and sent one of their own (one " Shifter ") to correct the problem.
When Mara Wildman communicated secretly with her old captain in her universe of origin ( Captain Janeway of the ISS Voyager ) the Borg picked up on the transmission. When Mara informed the captain that she was pregnant with a half-Vulcan child, the Borg knew that she was the one. They began their pursuit.
On their way back from a conference at Starfleet HQ Vorik and Icheb were abducted by Ender, which ended a truce between the Borg and the Federation. This was done to get information as to the whereabouts of Mara and her unborn child. Vorik was in the process of assimilation when they were finally rescued by Naomi Wildman and a fellow officer.
The Borg's search wasn't over, but it was cut short when Mara gave birth prematurely and the baby died.
==In Hiding==
When †Shifter†had visited Mara one night while she was pregnant, she did something that would cause the baby to go into a sort of stasis shortly after birth. This gave the illusion that the baby had died and the Borg gave up on her. To keep her safe, †Shifter†raised her out of the normal flow of time and she aged quickly. The girl was taught many things about her parents, the Federation, the Borg, et cetera. She was also taught a balance between logic and emotion.
To more fully understand the people and places she was learning about, Samantha T'Pel Wildman would be taken by †Shifter†to observe them. Many times she would visit her mother's dreams to comfort her about the knowledge of her "death."
==My Reappearance==
I came back into this temporal plane when my father was missing and my mother was being deceived by the Borg Queen. †Shifter†froze time and allowed me to convince my mother of the truth and bring her back to Voyager. My father, however, had been assimilated and was light-years away.
==Since You've Known Me==
With a longing to meet my father, and a determination to keep my mother from worrying, I left with †Shifter†to retrieve him from the Borg. I watched him enter his alcove and after the regeneration cycle began I melded with him to bring his true self to the surface. I told him my plan, but things went wrong when the Borg Queen discovered that I was there. She began taking control of his body and sent drones in our direction. To save myself, and countless others, he insisted that I move forward with my plan to destroy the vessel, even with him still on it. I placed the bomb by his alcove and beamed to the shuttle. Before I had a chance to beam him with me, the bomb exploded and a Borg pyramid (the vessel my father was on) and fourteen cubes were destroyed.
A few months later, Lieutenant Samantha Wildman, my adopted grandmother, took leave to Deep Space Nine to see her husband, Greskrendtregk. My mother accompanied her and I was persuaded to go. I had a good time, but still returned early to Voyager where I stayed with Icheb, my godfather, until my mother would return.
